When saddle fit calls for a little extra adjustment, 5 Star Saddle Bar Shims provide a simple way to fine-tune lift and create additional clearance along the spine. Made from 5 Star's wool, these shims work with your existing saddle pad to help create a more balanced setup.
Available in 1/4", 1/2", and 3/4" thicknesses, Saddle Bar Shims let you choose the amount of lift needed without adding unnecessary bulk. Velcro helps secure the shims to the top of your 5 Star saddle pad, while leather connecting straps help keep the pair positioned securely over the saddle pad.
Customizable Lift
Choose from 1/4", 1/2", or 3/4" thicknesses to fine-tune the amount of additional support in your saddle setup.
Wool Construction
5 Star wool provides a breathable, supple layer without relying on stiff synthetic padding.
Secure Attachment
Velcro attaches the shims to the top of your saddle pad, while leather straps connect the pair for dependable positioning.
Two Length Options
Choose the 22" shim for saddles measuring 22" or less, or the 25" shim for saddles measuring 25" or more.

Choosing the Correct Length
Measure the length of your saddle before ordering. If your saddle measures 22" or less, choose the 22" Saddle Bar Shim. If your saddle measures 25" or more, choose the 25" Saddle Bar Shim. Select the thickness that provides the amount of additional lift needed for your setup.
