Sometimes saddle fit or your horse's conformation requires a little adjustment. 5 Star Saddle Shims provide a simple way to fine-tune support and promote a more level saddle fit without replacing your existing saddle pad setup.
Made from 100% wool, these shims are designed to attach to your 5 Star Pad with Velcro and can be positioned between the saddle and saddle pad wherever additional support is needed. Available in 1/4", 1/2", and 3/4" thickness options, they make it easy to customize support as your horse's shape and topline change.
Fine-Tune Saddle Fit
Add support where needed to help improve saddle balance and promote a more level fit, including adjustments for "downhill" saddles.
Three Thicknesses
Choose from 1/4", 1/2", or 3/4" thicknesses to customize the amount of support for your saddle and horse.
Secure Velcro Design
Velcro on the side facing the saddle pad helps hold each shim securely in the desired position and minimize unwanted movement.

Using Your 5 Star Saddle Shims
Position the shims between the saddle and saddle pad wherever additional support is needed. They can be used to help correct front lift, fill in behind the shoulders, or promote a more balanced saddle position. One or two sets may be used at a time, and different thicknesses can be combined as your horse's topline and saddle fit needs change.
