Center the pad evenly along your horse’s topline with equal length showing in front and behind the saddle. Before cinching, pull the pad slightly into the saddle’s gullet to relieve wither pressure. Need help sizing? Add 4" to your saddle’s skirt length for a perfect pad fit, or 2" for short-backed horses.

After so much searching and being nervous about ordering a saddle online. I picked up the phone and called the Horse Saddle Shop to ask a few questions about a used saddle that was on their website.
