Pioneer Flex2 Trail Saddle 1665

Made In The USA

The Pioneer Flex2 Saddle has Circle Y's popular Flex2 tree technology. This tree has been coated with DURAhide to ensure that it stays strong and resistant to the elements. It also contains Circle Y's new high density and low density bars, making sure that the saddle conforms to your horse perfectly, even while in motion.

This saddle's special features include the new ErgoBalance Stirrups, which minimize knee and ankle strain, and a close contact skirt design. The seat has Impact Foam seat padding. We love the frosted rope edge conchos and border tooling.

Circle Y Flex2

The Flex2 tree has a rigid ground seat with a dual bar system that provides both stability and flexibility where it's needed. This tree is available for riders of all sizes and has proven over time to fit a large variety of horses.

Circle Y Impact Foam

Tired of a sore butt after a days riding? The impact foam seat offers you unmatched comfort in the saddle. Engineered to offer maximum cushion without wearing down quickly, this seat is everything you've been looking for to get you through the trail.

Softee Leather

Annoyed with the break-in period of your new saddle? No more! Softee Leather is revolutionary. Real full-grain leather with a broken in feel. Softee seat jockeys and fenders are ready to ride right out of the box.

Tunnel Skirt

The Flex2 Tunnel Skirt creates a channel in the spine area which will decrease rubbing, sore spots and any kind of pressure along the spine. The tunnel allows for hot air to escape while cool air flows in.

Neo-Shock

The Neo-Shock skirt absorbs shock from rough terrain and uneven surfaces through the neoprene filler. This filler is designed to muffle any vibration for a smoother ride for both you and your horse. This skirt also conforms to the conformation of your horse.

EBS

EBS (ErgoBalance Stirrups) tilt the stirrup to eliminate torque on the riders knees and ankles. No more sore joints after your ride! This will provide you increased comfort while promoting balanced riding.

3 Way Rigging

3-Way adjustable in-skirt rigging with several rigging options and positions to best suit fitting all of the different horse conformations.

Nice Saddle 4 I researched saddles for well over a year before I purchased this saddle. Trying to save some $ I even went through a few used ones, but none ever fit my horses well. I was originally looking for a lightweight reining saddle with a narrow twist and close contact skirt for a short backed horse. I narrowed my decision down to the Circle Y Pioneer, the Crates Classic Reiner 2221, and the South Bend Saddle Company training saddle. It is very difficult to buy online without being able to sit in them. I was able to find a Pioneer in a store near me that was one seat size too big, but I was able to get an idea of how it felt to sit in. Horsesaddleshop ordered one for me before Christmas and it was delivered before the deadline they gave me. The Pros: I love how lightweight it is! I think it is well made. I love the ergo stirrups. I am sold on the flex trees, I feel that they fit a variety of horses more comfortably. The close contact skirt is nice, be sure you have a close contact pad as well or you are defeating the purpose. I wanted a flatter seat than the deep pocketed Tex Tan Seminole trail saddle I already had. The Pioneer seat is somewhat flat, but does still have a small pocket fter all it is a trail saddle, but it sits more like an equitation seat. The Cons: I gave this saddle 4 stars out of 5 because it does not have as narrow of a twist as I would have liked. Also, I ordered it in a suede seat and feel that it is not as cushioned as the leather seat I sat in to try. It is padded but the padding is stiffer than I'd like. Hopefully it will get softer as it gets broke in. I am pretty picky and overall I am pleased with the Pioneer. All personnel at Horsesaddleshop were more than patient with me, informative and helpful. I will definitely shop with Horsesaddleshop again and I do feel that Circle Y makes quality saddles.

Very happy with this saddle! 5 I give it 5+ stars. I rode English for 25 years and when I moved to Tucson, I switched to western and trail riding. The saddle puts your leg under you correctly. It has a cut back skirt and closer contact so your leg is more effective. It is extremely confortable and light enough that I can get it on my 16+ hand horse. Very comfortable and good weight distribution on my horses back. The leather feels like it's already broken in very nice and stirrups turned to save stress on your knee. A very fair price for the quality of the saddle and corresponding tack. Also the folks at the Horse Saddle Shop were very accommodating when I made a number of changes. Highly recommend!

Best saddle ever used 5 I spent several months visiting saddle makers and saddle shops in person and on-line. Although I settled on a purchase from Horse SaddleShop, there was still concern about buying sight unseen. Well everything worked out! This is the most comfortable saddle I have ever used. The seat is padded enough for comfort but still gives you a good feel for the horse. The stirrup leather upper connection allows for varying flexible positioning that reduces leg fatigue. With having had two knee replacements, a hip replacement and an Achilles' tendon repair, I am naturally wary of claims about new products benefitting joints during exercise or strenuous activity. So it was a pleasure to find that the ErgoBalance Stirrups worked as advertised. Once you figure it out, the 3 way rigging gives options for improved cinching. The tree fit is great on my horse. For a trail/pleasure rider, the close contact design is a distinct improvement over my old ranch saddle. Finally, the reduction of about 20 pounds of weight is appreciated by both rider and horse.

The most comfortable saddle ever 5 I bought this saddle and had it sent to Australia. It arrived in perfect condition. I loved it from the very start. It looks great on my horse and the fit is really good. My horse is a Paint with very muscular mutton shoulders so he needed the xtra-wide. Previously I used it on my Quarter-horse but had to use a built up pad because it was a little too wide for him. I can ride up to 3 hours in comfort in this saddle. I use it as my every day and training saddle. My trainer says it is the most comfortable western saddle she has ever ridden in nd she has ridden in plenty\.People often comment on what a nice saddle it is and I have never seen another one like it here. Bottom line is, I love it!!
