I chose this saddle because #1 it is the type of saddle I prefer to ride, #2 the saddle I had been riding was too narrow for my quarter horse and needed a wider full quarter horse tree. I had the company modify this one to fit my tastes by deleting the Cheyenne roll and doing a pencil roll instead and they went one step further and trimmed the cantle in rawhide which really makes it stand out, and I had them leave the conchos off, mainly because I don't like alot of bling on my tack.
It arrived when 5-20-19 Josh said it would, fits my horse great, and now I am getting it ready to ride - turning the stirrups, oiling it etc. I have worked him in this and the wide tree and 3/4 rigging really allow for motion in his shoulders. Can't wait to start riding with it.
It was well worth the money and I'm positive I'll get years of service out of it and I'll be more than happy to pass this one down to my son when I'm done with it as I did with my other saddle.
All the comments that I have received from friends have been very positive. And more than one have been pleasantly surprised it didn't cost me more.Pros:Well built of quality, heavy leather, the finish is first rate and just plan looks greats either on my horse or just on the saddle rack.
Dealing with the staff at Horse Saddle Shop were always pleasant and easy to deal with and very prompt in answering my questions
Cons:They the manufacture could have paid a little more attention to the small details such as a little better designed off billet and stouter saddle strings. But these are minor and easily fixed. and in no way do they affect the ride ability. Just my personal preference.
